CLEARFIELD – On Saturday the Save the Ritz Theater Committee held its first farmers/flea market in downtown Clearfield.
The committee had approximately 20 vendors participate and offer yard sale items, antiques, postcards, a variety of foods and farm produce, jewelry, cookie jars and other merchandise. The market was open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and attracted a nice crowd to peruse and purchase many items, according to Pamela Babick, committee chairperson.
The market will be open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. for nine more Saturdays through Nov. 2. Each week there will be some new vendors with some regulars, said Babick. If you would like to be a vendor, please call 814-762-6430 to reserve your space by the Thursday before the Saturday that you want to participate.
Babick said they would like to encourage more farm produce vendors because those goods were a huge success. She also thanked Terry Malloy of Jim’s Sports Center for his idea and financial support to help Save the Ritz Theater.  Babick thanked the Clearfield community for its continued and generous support.
