Mary Hartle, 82, of Drifting died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 at her residence. Born Aug. 1, 1931 in Grassflat, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Kuzila) Fenush.
Mrs. Hartle was a member of the St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting, where she was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society.
She married Arthur Hartle on July 15, 1950 at the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Grassflat. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1998.
Mrs. Hartle is survived by two daughters, Debra Witherite and her husband, George of Spring Mills and Lorraine Hahn of Kylertown and two sons, Richard Hartle of Drifting and Dennis Hartle and his wife, Judy of Snow Shoe. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. She was the last member of her generation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting, with the Father David A. Perry Jr. as celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Severin Roman Catholic Cemetery, Drifting.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat. The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
