DUBOIS – Anyone who participates in buying or selling products or services online could benefit from a free workshop planned for Sept. 18, at Penn State DuBois.
What’s Working in Ecommerce Today: Selling Your Products and Services in the Digital Channel will provide insight on trends in ecommerce, including tactics that work for online selling, and strategies for success. The workshop will also introduce the audience to affordable tools and technology that benefit those doing business through ecommerce.
According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, over the last three years online sales growth has risen by 34 percent in business to business transactions and by 16 percent in business to consumer sales. This workshop will provide valuable information for people in a variety of fields and professions who can benefit from these rising trends. Executives and business owners, marketing professionals and service providers, as well as non-profit professionals will all find helpful information on how to succeed in the digital marketplace, or help clients to manage their online business.
The speaker and coach for this workshop is Cathy von Birgelen, the executive director of the eMarketing Learning Center (eMLC), an initiative of the Ben Franklin Technology Partnership. The eMLC builds professional development programs, applying digital media marketing and technologies that target businesses and non-profits. von Birgelen’s expertise spans more than 25 years in all business functions, including planning, analysis, marketing and finance. Her focus in online business development and e-marketing efforts comes from more than 25 years of hands-on marketing for both large enterprises and start-up companies. She has consulted with many national and regional clients including GE, Choice Hotels, Tide.com, Seaway Manufacturing, Howard Industries, Troyer Farms and Gannon University, Blair.com, Relish.com, Penn State University and Knowledge Park at Penn State Erie.
