GRAHAM TOWNSHIP – The Clearfield-based state police are investigating an incident of burglary that involves a stolen construction vehicle from the Graham Township Building on Aug. 10.
During the early morning hours on the date in question, two Caucasian males allegedly gained entry to a building and removed a set of keys for a construction vehicle. After that they allegedly proceeded to drive the vehicle, a 2008 lime-green-colored Peterbilt dump bed, to Chester Hill Borough.
In Chester Hill Borough, the truck was involved in a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Copelin Road and Decatur Street. The accident resulted in damage to a parked vehicle, tree and the truck, which also spilled a large amount of reddish-colored dirt and small pieces of asphalt onto the roadway, state police said.
The males returned the vehicle to the Graham Township Building the morning of Aug. 10 and fled the area, state police said. State police believe the males are in their late teens or early 20’s.
At the time of the incident, one male was wearing a long-sleeved, green T-shirt and blue jeans. The other male had sideburns and a beard and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and backpack, state police said.
