Joy A. (Galentine) Scott, 67, of Reynoldsville died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Mayport.
Born Jan. 25, 1946 in Luthersburg, she was the daughter of the late Albert V. and Adda L. (Thomas) Galentine.
she worked at Christ the King Manor. In recent years, she donated her time to the Reynoldsville Area Food Pantry. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in DuBois. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary FOE in Falls Creek.
She is survived by her two daughters, Hope (Masters) Foulk and her husband, Frank of Mayport and Marilyn (Masters) Frantz and her husband, James of Reynoldsville; two step-children, Debbie Kephart and her husband, Scott of Brockway and Steve Scott of Reynoldsville; three grandchildren, Joel Masters, Nathan Frantz and Alyssa Frantz; five step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Galentine of Reynoldsville; and three sisters, Anna Mae (Galentine) Bell and Rose (Galentine) Morris of DuBois and Belva (Galentine) Gregory of Luthersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, David L. Masters and Leonard E. Scott; four brothers, Al, Lee, Archie and Tim Galentine; and one step-son, Bill Scott.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gospel Center in Reynoldsville, with Pastor Mark Myers officiating. Â A funeral luncheon will follow after the service.
Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery in Reynoldsville.
