No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident Sunday on German Settlement Road in Horton Township. Timothy J. Skraba, 52, of Ridgway was traveling west when a deer ran onto the roadway. Skraba swerved left to avoid impacting the deer, traveled off the roadway and impacted a large tree. Skraba was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
An incident of public drunkenness occurred Sunday on Shawmut Road in Horton Township. During the incident, a 31-year-old Falls Creek man was found lying in a ditch. Upon police arrival, he was determined to be intoxicated and arrested for the same.
Minor injuries were reported after a hit-and-run accident that occurred Wednesday on Glen Hazel Road in Jones Township. Andrew S. Fiscus, 34, of St. Marys was traveling south and lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons. His vehicle traveled off the east berm of the roadway and approximately 100 feet down over a steep embankment, overturning multiple times. After that his vehicle came to a rest on its right side, and he fled the scene and failed to contact police. Fiscus was cited through the district for the accident.
An incident of criminal mischief and harassment occurred Sunday in the area of Limekiln Road in Jones Township. During the incident, a 20-year-old St. Marys man and a 21-year-old Ridgway man shoved each other. Then, a 23-year-old St. Marys man allegedly threatened the other St. Marys man and damaged his truck with the Ridgway man. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
An incident of harassment occurred Saturday in Highland Township. While at a gathering, a 57-year-old James City man allegedly grabbed the victim by the neck. Afterward they were separated and left the scene. Charges are pending against the accused.
