An incident of harassment occurred Friday along Oklahoma-Salem Road near Smith Road in Brady Township. During the incident, the victim told state police a male was standing in the roadway, and she stopped to offer him assistance. The male then allegedly reached into the victim’s vehicle and grabbed her. She was able to break from his grasp and sped away. An incident of theft occurred sometime Aug. 3-4 at the Nittany Minit Mart in Huston Township. During the incident, a known male employee allegedly stole cash from the store. He was allegedly observed removing an undetermined amount of cash. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are currently pending.
Through investigation state police determined a known 44-year-old Penfield man was wanted in Virginia for failure to appear for court proceedings. Virginia authorities were contacted and confirmed a warrant for the suspect; however, they would not extradite him back to Virginia. The suspect was advised to contact the authorities in Virginia and was then released.
An incident of theft occurred sometime between October of 2012 and Aug. 7 on Rattlesnake Road in Snyder Township. Sometime during the timeframe, someone stole the victim’s Ruger Blackhawk pistol/revolver.
