- On Friday police checked the welfare of a child in the 500 block of Maple Avenue. Police were advised the child could be heard calling for their mother inside the residence. Upon arrival police contacted the child’s father and determined the child was safe.
- On Friday police were dispatched to the 500 block of Liberty Boulevard for a reported Internet scam. The victim told police she’d applied for a loan over the Internet and sent a $110 processing fee. She was advised her loan had been approved and received a call from the company with directions to send another $150 for processing. At that point, the victim contacted police, and it was found to be a scam. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police conducted 13 traffic stops Friday and issued three citations and 10 warnings.
- On Saturday police checked the welfare of a female in the 500 block of Juniata Street. The caller told police she hadn’t been able to contact the female for more than a week. Upon arrival the female told police she was OK.
- Police were dispatched to an incident of theft Saturday in the 100 block of North Second Street. The victim told police that someone stole their American Flag. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact DuBois City police.
- On Saturday police were dispatched to the area of Brady Street and Long Avenue, as the operator of a black Ford Taurus was traveling all over the roadway. Police searched the area, but the vehicle was gone prior to their arrival.
- While on patrol Saturday, police observed an open door to the home stands of Mansell Stadium. Police searched and cleared the interior of the stadium complex. The key holder was contacted, and the stadium was secured.
- On Saturday police responded to Kurt Johnson Auto Sales for a car alarm. Upon arrival police searched the lot and located one car with an alarm sounding; however, it didn’t appear any of the vehicles had been tampered with.
- On Saturday police conducted 10 traffic stops and issued five citations and five written warnings.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred to a vehicle on Lakeside Avenue. The victim’s vehicle was parked at the Tannery Dam, where someone keyed the vehicle and scratched its paint. The investigation is ongoing.
- A semi-naked female was reported beside the creek at the bridge on Liberty Boulevard. Upon arrival police found the female was intoxicated, and she was taken to the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West. The female was arrested for public drunkenness.
- An incident of retail theft occurred at Martin’s Grocery Store on Hoover Avenue. The female had left the store prior to police arrival. However, police have a suspect, and charges are currently pending.
- Two males were reportedly fighting in the 100 block of East Weber Avenue. Upon arrival the males told police everything was OK. Both parties refused to have charges filed.
- Police were dispatched for a male who was allegedly physically assaulting a female at a residence on East Scribner Avenue. Upon arrival police made contact with the female who advised a known male slammed her to the ground, choked her and stated he was going to kill her. Police made contact with the alleged suspect who was arrested for terroristic threats, simple assault and related charges. The male was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
- On Sunday police conducted four traffic stops and issued three citations and one written warning.
