Thomas G. “Tucker” Davidson Jr., 96, of Osceola Mills died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at the Tyrone Hospital in Tyrone.
He was the son of the late Thomas G. Davidson Sr. and Margaret (Gault) Davidson born Feb. 14, 1917 in Decatur Township. He married Margaret B. (Wigfield) Davidson on Sept. 29, 1936 in Cumberland, MD. She preceded him in death on April 6, 2000.
Mr. Davidson was of the Christian faith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired plant manager for Austin Powder.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Cowfer and three sisters, Margaret Gers, Ann Showers and Helen Thomas.
Mr. Tucker is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Reese and her husband, Harold of Osceola Mills and Joann Springer and her husband, Paul of Philipsburg; five grandchildren, Scott and David Reese, Lorie and James Wick and Jackie Kline; and six great-grandchildren, James, Jonathan and Jordan Kline, Allison and Adam Reese and Aiden Clarr.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Samuel G. Strohm officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
