ALTOONA – The fourth annual Foundation for Life Golf Classic raised $56,000 to benefit UPMC Altoona and its patients.
“We sincerely appreciate all of this year’s golf participants, as well as the numerous businesses and individuals who sponsored the event, contributed prizes and made donations,” said Shirley Hoyne, event coordinator. “Thanks to their dedication and contributions, everyone enjoyed a beautiful day of golfing and supported one of our community’s most valuable assets: our hospital.”
UPMC Life Changing Medicine and UPMC Health Plan were the tournament sponsors. Gold sponsor was Xanitos. Silver sponsors included HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altoona, Leonard S. Fiore, and MedLine.
In addition to sponsorship support, the Golf Classic was a big success due to the time and talents of volunteers, committee members and the staff of Scotch Valley Country Club.
