CLEARFIELD – The Market Street Studio & Gallery will sponsor its fourth corner concert from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. tonight at the Shaw Park.
The corner concerts feature different, local musicians and genres each week. This week’s concert will feature the band, “Temptation Alley,” along with special guest students from the music classes of Guitarnia.
Guitarnia is another downtown business, which is intent on keeping the spirit of Clearfield. The corner concert series is a part of the “Help Save the Ritz Theater” campaign that was started on Facebook.
Some seating is provided at the park, but attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs with attendance growing each week. Attendees are encouraged to purchase snacks and drinks from the concession at the Ritz Theater.
Wristbands, T-shirts and theater seat nametags are available for purchase. A collection will also be taken for the Ritz Theater, and the musicians will play for tips.
“The corner concert series is a way for the community to come together and support the Ritz Theater in its effort to upgrade their projector system,” said Steve Albert, concert organizer.
