CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Charitable Foundation (CCCF) recently presented a $500 grant to the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. to help with this year’s Fall Festival, which will take place in downtown Clearfield on Oct. 12.
The Fall Festival has become an annual event in downtown Clearfield and focuses on the youth of Clearfield County. Plans for this year’s events include vendors, music, face painting, a hay ride, a bouncy gym, pumpkin painting and many others. The CCCF is proud to support this event.
The grant comes from money held by the foundation in its Community Fund. This fund represents an endowment established for the specific purpose of making grants to worthwhile projects benefiting Clearfield County communities. The fund was established and continues to grow from contributions received from individuals, organizations and businesses. The foundation accepts donations to the Community Fund at any time during the year.
Established in 2004, the CCCF is one of more than 300 community foundations in the United States, and its purpose is to enhance the quality of life in Clearfield County through the support of services that promote health, education, social welfare, public and urban affairs, arts and culture, conservation and the environment. The foundation accomplishes this by stimulating the establishment of endowments to serve local communities now and in the future, and by awarding grants to local charitable organizations.
