No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident Thursday on Maple Street in Philipsburg Borough. A 17-year-old Philipsburg boy was traveling eastbound and exited the roadway, striking a sign and then the side of a house on South Second Street. His vehicle sustained damage to its front, left bumper and tire area. He told state police that the back end of his vehicle came out due to the wet roadway, causing the accident. The boy will be cited for the accident.
An incident of theft occurred June 26 on Spike Island Road in Rush Township. The victim told state police that a 42-year-old woman was moving out of their rental home and taking items that didn’t belong to her.      Â
