Police Report: DuBois City

A motorist traveled at a high rate of speed Saturday on West DuBois Avenue. In addition, they swerved in and out of their lane of travel. Police conducted a traffic stop on East DuBois Avenue. Further investigation revealed that the motorist was intoxicated. As a result, a male was taken into custody and placed under arrest for DUI.
An attempted burglary occurred overnight into Saturday at a business in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. Upon arrival police observed where individuals entered the building on the third floor, as plaster had been removed from the wall in an attempt to enter. The incident remains under investigation at this time. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact DuBois City police.
