CLEARFIELD – The Clear-Penn Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals held its meeting June 11 at the Elks Club of Clearfield.
The new officers for 2013-14 were installed by the Pennsylvania Division President Juanita Mort, CAP-OM. The officers are: Carol Lundgren, CAP-OM, president; Missy Billotte, vice president; Peggy Rhone, CAP, secretary; and Shelly Luchinni, treasurer.
Mort also inducted two, new members Brenda Heschke and Shannon Rearick. Both work at the DuBois Business College. The IAAP also held a new member orientation.
The Pennsylvania Division Annual Meeting was held June 21-23 in Erie and hosted by the Western Council members, which includes the Clear-Penn Chapter. Five Clear-Penn members were in attendance for the annual meeting, including Lundgren; Mary Syktich, CAP-OM; Rhone; Billotte; and Luchinni.
Rachel Syktich, a Clear-Penn member and the current Miss Pennsylvania International, attended the welcome segment of the annual meeting. She updated attendees on her reign and platform of Big Brothers Big Sisters, as well as her IAAP involvement.
The annual meeting included seminars, business meetings and networking opportunities with women from across Pennsylvania.
The next chapter meeting will be a 6 p.m. picnic July 9 at the Sandy Township Recreation Park in DuBois. Reservations are not needed, but everyone is asked to bring a dish to share, table service and beverage.
Getting involved with IAAP activities provides an opportunity to develop professional and personal skills of leadership, public speaking, meeting planning and networking. All office professionals are welcome to attend any meeting.
