Minor injuries were reported after an alcohol-related accident Sunday on Main Street in Grampian Borough. Michaela L. Shaw, 19, of Grampian was traveling northbound while a 22-year-old Grampian man was traveling behind her. The man rear-ended the Shaw vehicle for unknown reasons. Upon speaking with him, state police determined he’d been consuming alcohol. The man agreed to standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed and was placed under arrest for suspected DUI. He was transported to the Clearfield barracks for a legal breath sample, which revealed his blood-alcohol content was .15 percent. Shaw was transported via ambulance to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Charges of DUI and related summary offenses are currently pending against the man through the district court in DuBois.
An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sunday at the Hill Crest Commons in Chester Hill Borough. The front door of the victim’s residence was covered by ketchup. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
