Donna M. Schnarrs, 75, a resident of Gearhartville, Philipsburg RD, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at her residence. Born Nov. 18, 1937 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Sophia (Czar) Rodger.
On June 30, 1956 in Philipsburg, she married Mahlon W. “Sam” Schnarrs, whom died May 18, 2006.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Schnarrs of West Decatur and five sons, Richard C. Schnarrs and his wife, Deborah of Chester Hill, Jeffrey W. Schnarrs of Hawk Run, Edgar J. Schnarrs and his wife, Barbara of West Decatur, Timothy M. Schnarrs and his wife, Lori of Osceola Mills and Patrick D. Schnarrs and his wife, Amy of Morann.
She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Rose Schnarrs of Morrisdale; a brother, Michael C. Rodger and his wife, Linda of Chester Hill; 18 grandchildren and; 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Schnarrs; a daughter-in-law, Judi Ann Schnarrs; an infant brother; and a sister, Matilda Harshbarger.
She was a 1955 graduate of Philipsburg High School. She was a homemaker and a caregiver.
She was a Christian and had a love of baking and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed oil painting.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation.
