Three work zones will impact travel
DUBOIS – Area drivers will encounter significant travel delays tomorrow, as crews work to saw and seal sections of Route 255 in the greater DuBois area. Travel delays should be expected between Camp Mountain Run Road and Sabula Lake and between the Fairfield Inn and Wendy’s Hamburgers, near the DuBois Mall.
Work zones could be in place until dark and drivers will encounter alternating traffic patterns, with flaggers in the roadway. Motorists need to remain alert for sudden stops and be prepared for significant travel delays. Drivers should obey posted speed limits and be cautions through all work zones.
All work is weather and schedule dependent. Should crews not be able to finish on Thursday, they will continue working through Friday.
This work is separate from PennDOT’s other project to improve Route 255 near the Interstate 80 DuBois/101 interchange. Crews on that job will be working to excavate along the shoulder of the northbound lane between the I-80 interchange and the Treasure Lake main entrance. This work zone will also feature an alternating traffic pattern with flaggers in the roadway.
