DUBOIS – Area drivers are encountering significant travel delays today as crews work to finish Route 255 paving near the DuBois Mall. Travel delays are affecting traffic northbound and southbound on Route 255 and on Shaffer Road in the DuBois Mall area.
Crews are working to pave the roadway on Route 255 from Shaffer Road to north of Morningside Cemetery. Work is expected to finish before 6 p.m. today.
Drivers will encounter daylight, alternating traffic patterns, with flaggers in the roadway. Motorists need to remain alert for sudden stops and be prepared for significant travel delays. Drivers should obey posted speed limits and be cautions through all work zones.
Grannas Brothers Construction of Hollidaysburg is the contractor on this $6.5 million project.
