CLEARFIELD – Roadway milling and paving work is continuing in Clinton and Centre counties, with an update for this week noted below. When work completes this June, PennDOT will have improved the roadway surface of seven routes in the two counties and provided area drivers with smoother, safer travel.
Work includes roadway milling and resurfacing, line painting, and miscellaneous construction. During this week, drivers can expect the following activities:
Clinton County:
- Milling and paving work will take place on Route 1003 (Little Plum Road) between Route 150 and Route 664, Tuesday through Friday.
Centre County:
- Paving work will take place on Route 45 in Millheim on Tuesday and Wednesday. Residents are advised that this work will affect street parking in Millheim.
- Paving work will take place on Route 550 (Buffalo Run Road) Thursday and Friday near the village of Carsons Corners.
Drivers will encounter daylight, alternating traffic patterns, with flaggers in the roadway. Motorists need to remain alert for sudden stops and be prepared for short travel delays. Drivers should obey posted speed limits, be cautions through all work zones and be alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting work zones.
All work is weather and schedule dependent. Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College is the contractor on this $5 million project.
