CURWENSVILLE – Curwensville Area High School Athletic Director Allen Leigey announced that today’s District 9 AA girls softball playoff game between the Lady Tide and Moniteau has been postponed due to rain.
The semifinal game is now scheduled for Friday at 4:30 pm at Moniteau High School in West Sunbury.
Curwensville (15-5) is the number four seed, while the Warriors come in as the number three seed with a 15-4 record for 2013.
The winner of the Curwensville-Moniteau contest will play the winner of the Redbank Valley (No. 1 seed) and Karns City (No. 4 seed) semifinal game, that is also scheduled for Thursday at Redbank Valley, for the District 9 championship at a later date to be scheduled.
Karns City defeated Cranberry, 12-4, on Tuesday to advance to the semi’s.
