Geraldine L. Brelo, 88, of Osceola Mills died Monday, May 13, 2013 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Minnie Mae (Webster) Vaughn, born Dec. 31, 1924 in (Retort) SandyRidge.Â
She married Andrew Brelo on May 2, 1953 in Osceola Mills. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1994.
Mrs. Brelo was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God in (Hudson) Philipsburg. She had worked as a cafeteria aide for the Philipsburg-OsceolaElementary School in Osceola Mills and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Brelo; a great-grandson, Jacob Brelo; and a sister, Gradys Fields.
Mrs. Brelo is survived by a daughter, Joanne Demchak and her husband, George of Mifflintown; two sons, the Rev. Samuel L. Brelo and his wife, Naomi Brelo of Philipsburg and Mark A. Brelo of Osceola Mills; five grandchildren, Sharon Walton, Rachel Wyant, Gina Keppler, Jordan Brelo and Benjamin Brelo; and seven great-grandchildren, Eva, Lily, Zoe, Brooke, Tyler, Matthew and Christopher.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God in (Hudson) Philipsburg, with the Rev. Daniel Winters officiating. Burial will be at the UmbriaCemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services Friday at the church.
