The Wal-MartDistributionCenter #6027 recently presented a $2,500 Local Giving Grant to the Clearfield Revitalization Corp., (CRC). Presenting the contribution is General Manager Brian Rosenberger and Systems Associate Lisa Kirkwood. Receiving the contribution on behalf of the CRC is Main Street Manager Kellie Swales.
The Local Giving Grant will be applied to the CRC’s Beautification Day, which will be held May 18 in downtown Clearfield. Swales said, “This generous contribution has allowed the CRC to purchase necessary supplies toward our beautification project like flowers and mulch, in which almost 100 community volunteers are involved. Tree boxes in downtown Clearfield will be attended to, as well as beautification of the streets and sidewalks.”
She wanted to thank the Wal-MartDistributionCenter for making this Beautification Day possible.
If you would like to volunteer and help the CRC with the beautification project, please call 814-765-6000. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Clearfield County Courthouse at 10 a.m. May 18. The project will continue through 1 p.m. Volunteers are asked to bring brooms, dust pan, gloves, a gallon of water and planting tools if possible. In case of rain, a rain date is set for May 19 at 1 p.m.
