CLEARFIELD – Borough Operations Manager Leslie Stott announced at Thursday night’s committee meeting that volunteers are needed for the Downtown Clearfield Beautification Day on May 18. Volunteers are encouraged to bring tools such as brooms, dustpans, gloves, etc. Cleanup projects include sweeping sidewalks, washing windows and pulling weeds to beautify the downtown area.
On Aug. 18, it will be Clearfield County Night with The Spikes, including discounted pricing for the State College Spikes game. The Spikes will be making special tributes to Clearfield County throughout the game. Forms for discounted tickets are available at the Borough Council Administrative office, 6 S. Front St., Clearfield. The day’s event will include pre-game events and post-game fireworks. Game time is 6:05 p.m.
