CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County Fair Queen, Misti Bruner, will host the second-ever Queen’s For a Cause Royal 5K Run and Walk, as well as a Car and Bike Show June 8 at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.
This year, Queens for a Cause partnered with the third annual Brittany Mock Angel Project Memorial Concert. Area bands will play throughout the day on the David H. Litz Grove Stage. Proceeds from the day’s events will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network, local causes and the Angel Project.
The day will kick-off with the Royal 5K at 8:30 a.m. Registration for the Royal 5K will be from 7:15 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. in front of the Grandstand at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.
The entry fee is $20 until May 17, after which it is $25. An official 5k T-shirt will be guaranteed to those who pre-register by the previously said deadline. Registration forms are available at the Clearfield YMCA, online at www.clearfieldcountyfair.com and Facebook. Participants may also register via www.active.com.
The Car and Bike Show will begin with registration from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Awards will be presented at 4 p.m. The registration fee is $10 per entry. Please visit the fair Web site for a listing of classes.
The memorial concert will last into the evening. The day will include hot cars, food, music and a variety of craft and retail vendors.
The 5k will be held rain or shine. A rain date of June 9 is slated for the car show.
