CLEARFIELD – PennDOT’s repairs to a bridge in Gulich Township, Clearfield County, are nearly complete, and traffic will be permitted on the bridge starting Wednesday.
Crews worked on the bridge — located on Route 729 and spanning Muddy Run — as part of a three-bridge contract in 2012 and this year. Bridges in the villages of Hyde and Glen Hope were also part of the project.
The Gulich Township bridge was the last of the three to be completed, with work improving the structural integrity and riding surface of the bridges while lengthening their useful lives.
Final work on the project is weather and schedule-dependent. Cottles Maintenance of Everett was the contractor on this $1.3 million contract.
