STATE COLLEGE – Work to repair a bridge deck on University Drive in State College will get under way today. Through May 3, PennDOT Centre County Maintenance forces will be making repairs to the deck on the University Drive (Route 3022) bridge that spans Route 26. The center lane on the bridge and in the immediate area will be closed during the bridge repairs, but one lane of traffic each direction will be maintained.
Work will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. The center lane closure will remain in place around the clock. Due to finals testing and graduation ceremonies at Penn State, drivers may want to give themselves extra travel time, in case they encounter traffic delays.
Drivers are reminded to follow official detour signs, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
