CLEARFIELD – The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library has announced its new TumbleBookLibrary digital collection.
The TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of picture books that incorporates animation, sound, music and narration to provide children with a unique talking book experience.
TumbleBookLibrary is a shared service of the Central Pennsylvania District Member Libraries offering Story Books, Read-Alongs and Chapter Books. Â The collection includes fiction, non-fiction and foreign language titles.
TumbleBooks are created from existing picture books, which are licensed from children’s book publishers and converted to the TumbleBook format. TumbleTV playlists is one of many user friendly features that will make TumbleBooks a favorite with young and developing readers everywhere.
Full searching capabilities are provided for the TumbleBookLibrary through TumbleSearch. Each TumbleBook includes a book synopsis, brief author/illustrator profile, intended grade/age level, and Accelerated Reader level and information. Readers can search by title, author, publisher, or subject, as well as, narrow by language and age level. Young people can be read to or read along using sentence highlighting and narration tools to enhance the online reading experience. Also, many of the titles include additional resource options, such as, TumblePuzzles, TumbleGames, quizzes, and videos.
