Ann B. Carlson, 83, of Clearfield died Friday, April 19 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital. Mrs. Carlson was born Jan. 9, 1930 in Laughlintown, the daughter of Russell and Nettie (Stern) Darr.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Carlson was a member of the West Side Unite Methodist Church of Clearfield.
She was involved with the Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls, Coterie Club and various Pinochle Clubs.
She is survived by four children, Scott Carlson and his wife, Beth of Delmont, Deborah Freeman and her husband, Robert and Karen McKenzie and her husband, Michael, all of Clearfield, and Patricia Keen and her husband, Russell of DuBois.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a sister, Maxine Dortic of New York, two brothers, John Darr of Laughlintown and Richard Darr of Texas and a son-in-law, Ronald Timko of Clearfield.
Mrs. Carlson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward W. Carlson, who died July 1, 1991 and whom she married in 1949, a daughter, Kathy Timko, a grandson, Jeffrey Keen, two sisters, Alice and Ethel and two brothers, Abe and Don.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield with the Rev. Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Laughlintown.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., of Clearfield and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday at the church.
