RIDGWAY – The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the Ridgway Fire Department investigated a fire that damaged a two-story residence at 7:58 a.m. Friday at 600 Sherman Ave., Ridgway.
The fire was determined to be accidental in nature. It was caused by a plastic toy melting in a forced air heating vent, state police said. Damage was estimated at $5,000. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
