ARC, Penn State Athletics Announce Blue-White Blood Drive

UNIVERSITY PARK – The American Red Cross and Penn State Athletics are partnering for a new Bleed Blue at Blue-White Weekend blood drive, slated from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. April 19 at the campus Multi-Sport Indoor Facility.

“Over the years, Blue-White Weekend has grown in popularity and now features a carnival, fireworks, food vendors, live music and other athletic events in addition to the Blue-White game on April 20. Many view it as Penn State’s unofficial spring reunion,” stated Marianne Spampinato, communications manager for the American Red Cross, Greater Alleghenies Blood Services Region.

“Our goal for our Blue White blood drive is 100 donations, which we are confident in reaching with the help of Penn State’s supportive community. This is a great opportunity for area blood donors, alumni, friends, and families to not only help save lives, but also to support their community during one of the biggest Penn State events of the spring.”

The Red Cross, Penn State Athletics and Penn State Athletic partners have teamed up to feature special events, drawings and giveaways for the Blue-White blood drive:
