DUBOIS – A former DuBois teacher, Michael Sedor, accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl pleaded guilty today in Jefferson County Court. He will spend 15-30 years in state prison, according to court documents.
Last August, Sedor was charged with 10 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and 20 counts each of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault. Sedor pleaded guilty to one count each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and statutory sexual assault.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the victim’s mother told police her daughter struggled with adjusting to school. She said Sedor would often talk to her daughter. However, she started to notice a change in her daughter’s behavior around the eighth grade. At one point, the mother reviewed a cellular phone bill to see with whom her daughter had been text-messaging. She noticed Sedor’s cellular phone number.
