SNOW SHOE – The Interstate 80 eastbound rest area at Snow Shoe in Centre County will be closed Wednesday. This one-day closure is necessary in order to replace a water meter and meter pit, which requires shutting off the water supply to the rest area through the day. The rest area is located near mile-marker 147 in Centre County.
The work is expected to take place from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday and the rest area will be re-opened as soon as possible, once work is complete. PennDOT thanks motorists in advance for their patience during this one-day closure.
Drivers should also be able to find updated information and notification of the closures on roadside message boards and through the Highway Advisory Radio System at 1640 on the am dial.
