Traci Ann Raymond, 49, of Philipsburg, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Decatur Township, Philipsburg.
She was the daughter of the late James L. Raymond and Joann (Slother) Raymond, who survives at home. She was born Jan. 11, 1964 in Ridgway.
She attended Messiah Baptist Church in Kylertown. She was very active in cancer prevention and recovery programs. She was a member of the County Market Cancer Relay for Life team.
She was the manager for the floral department at County Market in Philipsburg until her death. She was a 1982 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School and received her certification as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant from the Harrisburg Area Community College.
In addition to her mother, she’s survived by a daughter, Nadine Y. Miscavish and her fiancée, Nick Murarik of Philipsburg; three sisters, L. Tammy Schnarrs and her husband, Henry III (Smokey) of Hudson, RD Philipsburg, Janice L. Foster and her husband, James L. of West Decatur; and Regina “Gina” K. March of Chester Hill; three brothers, Dewey Raymond of Glass City, RD Philipsburg, M. Glenn Raymond and his wife, Jeannie of Osceola Mills, and Martin P. Raymond and his wife, Shelly of Pleasant Hill, RD Philipsburg. She is also survived by a grandson, Cameron Miscavish of Philipsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Messiah Baptist Church, Kylertown, with Pastor Earl. R. Shawley officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St. in Philipsburg and from 12 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the church.
