Helen M. Wilhelm, 83, formerly of DuBois and Penfield died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born March 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John O. and Mary Helen (Robacker) Wilhelm. She was raised by her grandparents, Charles (Ed) and Abigal (Abbie Wickett) Robacker and her maternal aunt, Bernice Robacker. She lived in Penfield until her move to DuBois in 2001.
She was a 1948 graduate of Huston High School.
She graduated from the DuBois Business College on June 7, 1949, and in 1958, graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
She was an elementary school teacher in the DuBois Area School District for more than 35 years. She began teaching at Tyler Elementary School and then at the Penfield Elementary School until her retirement in 1993.
She is survived by many dear friends.
There will be no public visitation.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Luther Nelson Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
