Forrest Roger Kerlin, 59, of Morrisdale died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital. Born Aug. 24, 1953 in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late George Barbee Kerlin and Jean Potts Veneziano of Morrisdale.
He was a 1971 graduate of the Allentown, NJ High School. He’d worked for Wal-Mart for 19.5 years.
Mr. Kerlin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served for six years. He’d coached little league for more than six years.
He married JoAnn Gibbons Kerlin on June 30, 1972 in New Jersey. She preceded him in death on Jan. 9, 2011.
Mr. Kerlin is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Lamb and her husband, Nicholas of Morrisdale and two sons, Forrest Kerlin Jr. of Grampian and Travis Kerlin and his wife, Melissa of Clearfield.
Also surviving are one sister, Georgenne Merrow and her husband, Steven of Morrisdale; two brothers, Dale Kerlin of Delaware and Arnold Kerlin of Morrisdale; and four grandchildren, Curtis, Gabriella, Emily and Lindsey.
In addition to his father and wife, Mr. Kerlin was preceded in death by one brother, Wallace.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will not be any public visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Clearfield Hospice, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield, PA 16830 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
