Donald M. Gardner, 77, formerly of Madera and a guest of Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation, Curwensville died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation.
Born March 3, 1935 at Madera, he was the son of John and Celia (Schaffer) Gardner. He was a heavy equipment operator and at one time worked for Hubler Brothers, Morrisdale.
Mr. Gardner was Protestant by faith and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He’s survived by four sisters, Diana Hamm of Gearhartville; Jean Reams of Chester Hill; Lois Gardner of Port Matilda; Doris Hudak and her husband, Alan of Ramey; two sister-in-laws, Madeline Gardner of Ramey and Goldie Gardner of Madera; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Paul, Eugene and Jack Gardner; and two sisters, Betty Lou Gardner and Sarah “Peg” Prisk.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Madera, with Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
