James F. “Shady” Randolph, 71, of DuBois died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 21, 1941 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Gurney and Mae (Parfrey) Randolph. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.
On July 6, 1968, he married Catherine “Kitty” (Signorelli) Randolph. She survives.
He was the owner and operator of This Old House Bar for many years. Prior to that, he owned and operated the Nelson House in DuBois. He was also a former printer at the Pittsburgh Press.
He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, a lifetime member of the James J. Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a lifetime member of the Sandy Hose Company #1 Fireman’s Club. He was also a member of the Pulaski Club, the Olympic Athletic Club and the Independent, Political and Social Club.
He is survived by four children, Cheryl Wulfert and her husband, Joe, Jennifer Horn, Steven Randolph and his wife, Kelly and Michael Randolph and his wife, Tammy; a brother, Edgar Randolph and his wife, Sharon; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.
Burial will be in Luthersburg Union Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
