Duane R. Rougeux, 86, of Croft went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013at the Altoona Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 29, 1926 in Surveyor, a son of the late Philip and Phobe (Rougeux) Zonge.
Mr. Rougeux retired after 50 years as being a drag line operator with Moshannon Valley Mining. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 812, Clearfield, and the Clearfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1785.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Hubler) Rougeux of Allport, whom he wed Feb. 14, 2000, and three children, Bonnie Lou Maines of Clearfield and Stanley Rougeux and his wife, Kathy and Keith Rougeux and his wife, Elma, both of Frenchville.
Also surviving are a step-son, Lynndon Duane Hubler and his wife, Julia of Drifting; four grandchildren, Phil Rougeux and his wife, Laurie, Gina Heickle and her husband, Dewey, Chad Rougeux and his wife, Tiffany and Steve Rougeux; two step-grandchildren, Cullen and Saraya Hubler; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen M. (Krupelak) Rougeux on June 1, 1998 and whom he wed on Jan. 20, 1945; a daughter, Barbara Ann Rougeux; and a son-in-law, Robert Maines.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Pastor Susan Arnold officiating. Burial will be in the Keewaydin Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
