Bertha Mary H. Lansberry Hubler, 94 of Woodland entered into God’s eternal care, Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at Mountain Laurel Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield. She was the wife of 27 years to L. Albert Hubler of Woodland
Born Jan. 13, 1919 in Grampian, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey F. and Lena (Spencer) Harmic. Mrs. Hubler was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
She was a 1936 graduate of Curwensville High School and also a graduate of the Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing in 1941.
She was employed as a registered nurse for 30 years at Clearfield Hospital. She was a member of the Clearfield Nursing Alumni, Bradford Grange and the Woodland Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and knitting.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son and a daughter, Ann Clifton and her husband, J.D. of Texas and Jack L. Lansberry and his wife, Betty of Woodland; three grandchildren, Craig Lansberry and his wife Tia of Woodland, Amy Snyder and her husband, Stosh of
Harrisburg and Captain Kurt Lansberry and his wife, Kristen of Raleigh, NC; four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Katelyn Lansberry and Brynnleigh and Landon Snyder; five step-daughters and a step-son, Mary Lou Wilson, Meg Neeper, Nancy Aughenbaugh, Barbara Kurtz, Elizabeth Hubler and James Hubler; and one brother, David Harmic of Grampian.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Norlin Jack Lansberry in February of 1980; six brothers, Forest, Max, Thomas, Earl Harwic and infant twins; a sister, Emma Jean Harmic; and a step-son, Jan Hubler.
A service to celebrate the life of Bertha Mary H. Lansberry Hubler will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., 312 E. Locust St., Clearfield, PA 16830 with the Rev. Sean Patrick Smith officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be held from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery.
