UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The No. 8/9 Penn State Lady Lions (18-3, 8-1 Big Ten) will appear on the Big Ten Network for the final two games of the conference schedule, it was announced by the Big Ten Wednesday (Feb. 6). Penn State’s game at Minnesota on Thursday, Feb. 28 will air at 9 p.m. (ET) and the season finale at Nebraska on Sunday, March 3 will air at 6 p.m. (ET) as the final game of a four-game set on the BTN.
The Lady Lions will appear on television 11 times during the 16-game conference season with three TV appearances during the non-conference slate. In it’s remaining games, Penn State will be on the Big Ten Network at Indiana on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., before returning home to face Michigan State on Sunday at 2 p.m. for an ESPN2 game. Additionally, the Lady Lions’ annual Pink Zone game against Michigan on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. will air on the Big Ten Network.
After traveling to Indiana for a BTN game Thursday., the Lady Lions come back to the BJC to face Michigan State on Sunday (Feb. 10). The Lions will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day with a pregame NGWSD clinic hosted by several of the Penn State women’s teams in the basketball practice facility. There will also be a postgame autograph session on the concourse with the entire Lady Lion Basketball team. Fans are also encouraged to wear white for the Michigan State game. Single game tickets for the Lady Lions are on sale. Tickets are $15 and $12 for adults and seniors and $9 and $7 for youth (12 and younger). The PNC Flex Books are available again this year for $99. The Flex Book gives fans 12 vouchers, 10 that can be redeemed in any combination for Nittany Lion and Lady Lion Basketball tickets throughout the year and two extra vouchers for the Nittany Lions’ Coaches Vs. Cancer game and the Lady Lions’ Pink Zone game.
The 2013 Pink Zone at Penn State will take place on Sunday, Feb. 24 as the Lady Lions take on Michigan in the Bryce Jordan Center. Last year, the Lady Lions donated a record $203,000 to breast cancer causes. This year’s fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, J.C.
