Lawrence “Red” Paul, 65, of Williamsport and formerly of Glassboro, NJ, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at the Rose View Center, Williamsport. Born June 12, 1947 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Daniel Robert and Mary Frances Matthews Paul.
Mr. Paul was a graduate of the Cleveland High School. He retired from Joseph Frazzio Inc., Glassboro, NJ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam era. Mr. Paul was an avid baseball card collector and sports fan.
He’s survived by a daughter, Tonia A. Kephart and her husband, Jason of Lance and a son, Lawrence K. Paul and his companion, Jessica of Westville, NJ; a sister, Kathleen Daley and her husband, John of California; two brothers, Daniel R. Paul and his wife, Rita and David Matthews and his wife, Patty, all of Ohio; three grandchildren, Devin Streu of Missouri, Cody Kephart of Lance and Lily Juliano of New Jersey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Rodgers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, with the Rev. Earl Shawley officiating. Burial will be in the Messiah Baptist Cemetery, Kylertown.
There will not be any public visitation.
