DUBOIS – The Sandy Township Supervisors approved the zoning amendment change for Metaltech and K&C Dental after a public hearing on Monday night.
Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer Jim Keck explained to the supervisors that this would bring the properties in line with the zoning along the state Route 219 corridor. He said this changes Industrial zoning to C-HLI zoning.
Keck said he hadn’t heard any negative feedback about the proposed change and believed it would potentially bring 10 jobs into the township.
Supervisor Brady LaBorde read a letter from the Sandy Plaza Mall’s branch of S&T Bank. The bank thanked the township police force for their professionalism and assistance with the investigation into the armed robberies on Dec. 31 and Jan. 4.
Supervisor Dave Sylvis also commended the police force for its investigation into the burglary at Royer’s 219 Auto Sales.
