TAYLOR TOWNSHIP – A 21-year-old Port Matilda man, Brett Joseph Buchanan, was arrested on drug charges after suspicious items were observed at his residence Friday on South Mountain Road in Taylor Township.
According to the Philipsburg-based state police, they obtained consent to search the Buchanan residence. State police recovered the following items:
- 159.5 prescription pills
- 5 glass vials with an unknown clear liquid
- 1 zip-lock bag with suspected heroin
- 1 glass vial with an unknown brown liquid
- 1 glass marijuana pipe
- 1 digital scale
- 8 metal spoons with white powder residue
- 170 empty heroin baggies
- 1 metal cylinder
- 120 syringes
Buchanan was taken to the Centre County Correctional Facility. Charges will be filed through the district court, as related to the recovered items.
