An incident of DUI occurred at 3:19 a.m. Saturday on state Route 950 in Winslow Township. State police conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. After a preliminary investigation, a 30-year-old Falls Creek man was arrested for suspected DUI. Charges are pending blood analysis.
Minor injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Game School Road in Snyder Township. Malachi R. Hannold, 18, of Brockport was traveling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a sharp, left-hand curve in the roadway. His vehicle slid off the right berm of the roadway and struck a small tree, before it continued sliding over an embankment. At that point, the Hannold vehicle struck another small tree and overturned and came to a rest on its wheels. Hannold then traveled through a yard and attempted to re-enter the roadway by driving up the embankment. As a result, his vehicle overturned three-quarters of the way and came to a final rest on its left side. Hannold wasn’t wearing his seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. He fled the scene of the accident. Hannold will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed. State police were assisted by the Brockway Fire Department and Zimmerman Towing.
