An incident of harassment occurred at around 11:30 p.m. – 11:50 p.m. Wednesday on Penn Street in Grampian Borough. A known 36-year-old Grampian man allegedly arrived home highly intoxicated. He engaged in a confrontation at which point a known 35-year-old Grampian woman and a 13-year-old girl attempted to leave the residence. The man allegedly subjected both victims to unwanted physical contact. He was charged with harassment.
No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident at approximately 3:05 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. Route 322 and state Route 2030 in Bradford Township. Loralee Walstrom, 32, of Philipsburg was traveling westbound on SR 2030 and proceeded through the traffic light at the intersection upon the direction of a Utility Company flagger. While entering the intersection, her vehicle struck that operated by John J. Knapka, 46, of Meadville. After impact, the Walstrom vehicle traveled a short distance eastbound before coming to a rest along the westbound lane of U.S. Route 322. The Knapka vehicle traveled a short distance westbound and came to a rest in the turning lane of U.S. Route 322. Both Walstrom and Knapka were wearing their seatbelts. Neither was injured in the accident. State police were assisted at the scene by the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department and Bigler Boyz Towing. No law enforcement action will be taken against either Walstrom or Knapka for the accident.
