Police Report: DuBois PSP

An incident of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle occurred between 2 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. Jan. 1 on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township. A 21-year-old Penfield man took his father’s truck without permission and crashed it. He was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Hawkins. His bail was set at $25,000, and he was placed in the Clearfield County Jail.
No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 2:45 a.m. Jan. 5 on Old Grade Road in Washington Township. Susan K. Lyle, 47, of Falls Creek was traveling eastbound when she lost control of her pick-up truck on an icy patch on the roadway. Her pick-up truck exited via the south berm and struck a utility pole, shearing it off. Neither Lyle nor her passenger, Jerry W. Doutt, 46, of Falls Creek was injured. Both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
