Marjorie (Richardson) Caber, 89, formerly of Madera died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at the Altoona Hospital Center for Nursing Care, Altoona.
She was born July 29, 1923, the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Higgins) Richardson.Â
On Nov. 11, 1939 in Glen Hope, she married Elmer G. Caber, who preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1968.Â
On July 30, 1985, she retired after 30 years of service as a sewing machine operator. She worked 20 years for the Penshires Sewing Factory and 10 years at the McGregor’s Sewing Factory, both of Philipsburg.Â
She had attended Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Beccaria. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
She’s survived by one son and daughter, Ronald Caber and his wife, Kay of Tyrone and Barbara Mick of Madera. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, John, Harry and Lynn Richardson and three sisters, Adeline Smeal, Ruth Caber and Ruby Belin.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday at Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Madera.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
Burial will follow in the Alexander Cemetery, Madera.Â
