UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State baseball team will be hosting the inaugural First Pitch Dinner on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Ramada Conference Center in State College. Highlighted by keynote speaker Ben Petrick, a former second round pick of the Colorado Rockies, the evening will include an autograph session with the team, as well as remarks from head coach Robbie Wine and the Nittany Lion captains.
Emceed by Steve Jones, the First Pitch Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and the main program at 7 p.m. An inspirational figure in baseball history, Petrick will provide a message of strength, perseverance and persistence as he speaks on his battle with Parkinson’s disease and how he has overcome to be a father and a coach.
