A hit-and-run accident occurred at approximately 1:10 a.m. Wednesday along U.S. Route 322 near Mineral Springs in Bradford Township. A tan-colored sports utility vehicle was traveling eastbound, while Gregory T. Majewsky, 29, of Osceola Mills was disabled along the south shoulder. The SUV sideswiped the Majewsky vehicle, and its operator failed to stop afterward. It continued to travel east on U.S. Route 322. Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday on the Curwensville – Grampian Highway in Penn Township. John E. Miller, 91, of Grampian was traveling eastbound, while a vehicle operated by George T. Hoyt, 63, of Grampian was stopped in the eastbound lane. Hoyt was waiting to turn left into a driveway. Miller failed to see the stopped Hoyt vehicle and rear-ended the same. The Hoyt vehicle subsequently struck the guiderails. Miller was wearing his seatbelt and not injured. Hoyt was wearing his seatbelt but sustained minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. Miller was cited for careless driving.
